How to prolong lifespan of belt conveyor

Quality of belt is the main reason to impact on belt conveyor lifespan, so it must purchase the belt with high quality. Meanwhile, it should make sure that sweeper is reliable to use so that there is no material on the return belt. Otherwise, materials adhered to return belt will be taken to the surface of drive pulley and bend pulley, then it will damage belt and reduce its lifespan.
There are some problems in the use of belt conveyors sometimes, to which require you to pay attention that you can greatly extend the service life of belt conveyor.
1. If there is the phenomenon of belt slipping on drive pulley, users should find the reasons and adjust it promptly.
2. Please always check the belt connectors, if there is local damage, please repair it or replace conveyors joints.
3. Please check rollers using conditions regularly. Adding proper lubricating grease into sealing ring when making maintenance. And replace inflexible rotating rollers immediately.
4. It must add good quality lubrication into all rotating parts of belt conveyor. Please add lubrication at fixed period in accordance with the requirements.
5. Please ensure that the cleaning device has good working conditions, and the damaged components should be replaced.
6. Please check tension level of belt conveyor regularly. If the belt is loose, please tension it promptly and observe whether the belt is off tracking, otherwise it should be adjusted timely.

Classification and Characters of Vibrating Screen Spring

Damping spring is common elastic component, it widely used for all kind of vibrating screen, with the features of good stability, lower noise, good vibration isolation effect, long service life etc.

Vibrating screen commonly used spring classifications are steel spring, rubber spring, complex spring etc.

Steel spring: It is made of spring steel, belongs to compression spring, it is the screw spring can bear direction pressure. In general, the cross section of its material is circle, equal pitch, there is a certain gap between the circles. When suffering the external load, the spring will be out of shape and contracted, and store the deformation energy.The screw spring load weight is directly proportional to the wire diameter and circle number.

Rubber spring: It is made of natural rubber, a kind of Polymeric elastomer. With good vibration isolation effect, little resonance area, long service life, low cost and it also with good cold resistance, good gas tightness, waterproofness, it is really a  good choice for vibration damping.

Complex spring: It is an elastomer which combines steel spring and rubber spring together. So it has two kinds of advantage and also overcome their weakness. With a stable shape and mechanical property, it can bear heavy load and big deflection. with the features of vibration isolation, it can  reduce noise. Especially applied for bigger type vibrating screen in mining, metallurgy, coal industry etc.

Joint Methods of Conveyor Belt

The most common joint methods of conveyor belt are mechanical joint, cold bonding joint and heat vulcanization joint. Here PK Machinery will discuss three different joint methods with you.

1.Mechanical joint

This joint method is to use belt fastener to connect belt. The most obvious advantages are convenient and economical. But this method has lower efficiency and it’s very easy to damage and reduce lifespan of conveyor belt. To connect PVC or PVG anti-flaming and anti-static belt, it’s very universal to adopt this kind of method if the conveyor belt grade is less than grade 8.

2. Cold bonding joint

This joint method adopts binding agent to connect belt. It is with higher efficiency compared with mechanical joint. What’s more, it can save investment cost. But in fact, due to the uncontrollable technological conditions and quality of binding agent, this kind of method is not very stable.

3.Heat vulcanization joint

It has been found that this joint method is the most ideal way to connect belt. It can not only   guarantee the joint efficiency and stability, but also can be easy to master and prolong lifespan  of belt. But it also has disadvantages of troublesome technology, high cost, long joint operation time, etc.
